Little Blessings: Emerald Isle 2011

It seems like so long ago...and yet it was only a month ago when we were at Emerald Isle. We had a wonderful vacation with our family! We stayed in a beautiful house right on the beach and I have to say...it was AWESOME! It was totally loaded with a ping pong table, pool table, pool, air hockey table and foosball! The house was beautiful but honestly it was just awesome to be able to hang out with the family and take a break from the every day stuff!

This was also Natalie's first beach trip! The first few days she would just hold her sandy hands up in the air and make grunting sounds...I think she was saying "Hello, can someone please clean me off?" We got to the beach on Saturday and by Thursday she was laying in the sand, playing with the sand, and wanting to be with Mama in the ocean! I would call that a huge success! She absolutely loved going to the pool everyday! Our pool was very nice especially for the little ones...it had a little ledge that Natalie and Jack could walk on around the pool and they loved it! Natalie also learned how to jump into our arms in the pool and by the end of the trip she would start to jump before we were even ready to catch her! Ready or not...here she comes!

Our nights were hilarious! We played games every night, like ping pong, farkle, domino's, and catch phrase...my dream! I think the best night was catch phrase music edition...teammates could get extra points for their team if they sang out lyrics of the song! It was HILARIOUS! I'm pretty sure everyone sang that night including Sarah and Dave! The funniest though were hearing Kirk and Sean bust out lyrics to songs that I never thought in a million years they would know and definitely hearing Sean hit some high notes that some sopranos can't even hit! My Mom started laughing at Sean so hard that she got us all laughing/crying...it was a night to remember! I can't wait to see what great memories next years beach trip brings!
